Club Rides



Monday evening intermediate Mountain Bike rides will usually depart from the Rec Center at 5:30. On occasion, there will be rides departing from different locations, so please double-check the Event Calendar.


Tuesday evening rides will leave from Highlander Cycles on Pleasant St at 5:45. This is a no drop ride.


Wednesday evening rides will leave from the Monument at 5:45 There are generally two groups riding - one is a no drop ride, the other is a bit more spirited!


We will be posting special weekend rides i.e. The Gaps, Kingsley Hill ( 24% grade), Epic ( Searsburg, Greylock, and Petersburg)rides. Please check the Event Calendar for details..

Mountain Bike Rides

The next legislative issue for cyclists

This week, the House Transportation Committee is discussing H.198, the Complete Streets bill.
This bill requires Vtrans to consider all roadway users, including cyclists, in the design and reconstruction of state highways, according to the "Complete Streets" standards already adopted by many other states.

Chestnut Hill is in terrible shape, no matter which side you ride.  Full of pot holes and loose gravel.  Maybe someday they'll actually repave it and cover the million patches - but I'm not holding my breath.

Rte 59 from Cambridge back to Buskirk is in great shape...

313 from Arlington to the NY line is newly repaved and makes for a great ride.  The NY side is in OK shape, but areas are full of loose gravel and a few pot holes...
